An Iconic Moment at Texitech’s 30th Anniversary
At Texitech’s recent 30th Anniversary celebration, the atmosphere was already electric with the presence of Dr. Atta ur Rahman. But the evening became even more memorable when legendary actor and director Mr. Javed Sheikh took the stage to share his impromptu thoughts. While Mr. Javed Sheikh is known for his presence on the silver screen, his words at our event were grounded in deep respect for leadership, intellect, and the values that drive success values that are the bedrock of the Rahman family and, by extension, Texitech.
Such a Family, Such Thinking
Mr. Javed Sheikh’s address was a powerful tribute to the “family” behind the organization. Referring to the lineage of Dr. Atta ur Rahman and our CEO Sohail ur Rahman, and the recently joined Mr. Hammad ur Rahman as he expressed a sentiment that resonates with everyone who has worked with Texitech leadership.
“I am so proud to be here,” Mr. Sheikh began. “I believe that if Allah gave us families like this in the millions, where would we take Pakistan?”.
He highlighted that it is not just business acumen that matters, but the mindset of the people running it. “Such a family, such thinking, such people we must value them,” he urged. For us at Texitech, this was a validation of our corporate ethos: that integrity and forward-thinking leadership runs in our DNA.
A Vision for a "Singapore-Style" Transformation
Echoing the earlier keynote by Dr. Atta ur Rahman regarding the economic miracle of Singapore, Mr.Javed Sheikh offered high praise for the visionary leadership he witnessed at the event. He remarked that he wished leaders of this caliber could head every department in the country, transforming Pakistan just as Singapore was transformed. It was a massive compliment to the strategic vision that guides our company’s founders a vision that aims for excellence and efficiency in every endeavor. A Call for Global Recognition
Mr. Sheikh was visibly moved by the contributions of our guest of honor and the legacy of the family. He noted that while Dr. Rahman holds numerous civil awards, the impact of this family’s work deserves even higher recognition.
