From the Classroom to the Industry
Bahria University Students Visit Texitech
There is a gap between what students learn in a lecture hall and what actually happens on the ground. At Texitech, we believe part of our role as an industry leader is to help bridge that gap. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of BBA students from Bahria University Karachi to our head office. The visit was part of their Supply Chain Management course (BBA 6th Semester) and it turned out to be far more than a standard industry tour.
A Conversation Worth Having
The session was led by Texitech’s Supply Chain head, Mr. Muhammad Azeem who walked the students through the practical realities of managing a technology distribution business the kind of detail that textbooks rarely capture. The discussion covered some of the most relevant aspects of modern supply chain operations:
- International procurement and distribution networks: how Texitech sources and manages products across global supply chains
- Working with 14+ international brand partners: the sourcing strategies and partner relationships that keep operations running smoothly
- Warehouse and inventory management: handling imported tech equipment at scale, from arrival to delivery
- Real world application of supply chain models: how the frameworks students study in class actually function when applied to live business challenges
For students who spend most of their time with theoretical models, seeing those same concepts at work in a real distribution environment made a genuine difference.
Why These Interactions Matter
Texitech has been operating in Pakistan’s technology sector for over 30 years. In that time, we have built relationships not just with clients and brand partners, but with the broader ecosystem including the next generation of professionals entering the workforce. Welcoming students to our offices is something we genuinely value. Academic curiosity meeting industry practice in real time is one of the most productive conversations there is. The questions these students asked were sharp, thoughtful, and grounded in real interest a strong sign of what this cohort is capable of. As Pakistan’s technology and distribution landscape continues to grow, it needs professionals who understand both the theory and the ground reality. Sessions like this are a small but meaningful step toward that.
Looking Ahead
We thank the students and faculty of Bahria University for the visit and for the excellent conversation. We look forward to seeing what this cohort builds and we hope the experience added real context to their studies.
