At Texitech, our mission has always been to drive progress through innovation. But we believe the most important progress happens at the community level. Through our dedicated support and funding of Bawaqar Rozgaar, we are helping transition underprivileged individuals from financial struggle to self-reliance.
A Vision for a Handout-Free Society
Bawaqar Rozgaar operates on a profound principle: Dignity over Handouts.
“At Bawaqar Rozgaar, our mission is to build a society based on dignity, not handouts. We empower underprivileged individuals through technical education and self-employment, enabling them to support themselves and their families.” Hammad Ur Rahman
By focusing on micro-financing and technical education, the organization provides the “system upgrade” many Pakistanis need to launch sustainable businesses
Real Stories of Impact: Beyond the Statistics
While Bawaqar Rozgaar boasts a 94% success rate and has deployed over 12 Million PKR, the true heart of our mission lies in the lives changed forever.
1. Sustainable Growth: Haji Arif Mahmood
Ghulam Abbas used to drive a loaned rickshaw, which restricted his hours and led to constant financial struggle. Today, he has transitioned from driving for others to owning his own loading rickshaw, allowing him to move furniture and sell fruits on his own terms.
These are just a few examples; there are many more stories where Bawaqar Rozgaar has stepped in to help individuals reclaim their independence and transform their lives.
2. From Nursing to Tech: Muhammad Azeem
Haji Arif is a dedicated and hardworking entrepreneur who has been steadily expanding his family-run milk business with a clear vision for long-term growth. Through the valuable support of Bawaqar Rozgaar, he was able to acquire new cows, strengthening the foundation of his livestock operation. Among these additions is a cow that recently gave birth, further increasing milk production and enhancing the sustainability of his business. This support has not only improved his daily output and income but has also given Haji Arif renewed confidence to grow his enterprise, create better opportunities for his family, and contribute to the local dairy supply in a sustainable and self-reliant manner.
3. Owning the Journey: Ghulam Abbas
The Texitech Partnership: A Self-Sustaining Cycle
Texitech funds Bawaqar Rozgaar because the model works. It isn’t just a one-time donation; it is a circular investment in the Pakistani economy:
- 35.7% Circular Giving: Remarkably, over a third of current donations come from former donees who are now successful enough to give back.
- Repayment & Reinvestment: Our 94% success rate means that nearly all individuals have repaid their loans, enabling us to help even more people.
- Educational Support: Beyond micro-loans, the organization funds students at institutions like Ziauddin University.
Community Growth: We currently support approximately 70 small-scale running businesses, creating a ripple effect of opportunity across neighborhoods.
